Play as the Seeker
Count down while the Hiders scatter, then hunt them with your field of view. Keep a Hider in sight and press REVEAL. Stray too far from the Beacon and they will sneak in behind you.
Hide. Seek. Guard the Beacon.
A digital twist on the East African children's game of hide-and-seek. One Seeker hunts three Hiders around a village compound while a Beacon in the middle offers the Hiders a way back. Four-minute matches, no ads, no purchases, plays offline.
Everyone remembers the rules from the playground. Kombolela adds a Beacon, a visible field of view and a rescue rule so every round is fair.

Twenty seconds to find cover. Bushes hide you unless the Seeker comes very close. Hold the Beacon for one second to free revealed friends; if you are the last one free and you light it, the Hiders win.
Sprinting is fast but loud and drains stamina. Sneaking is slow, silent and harder to spot. The Seeker aims by dragging on the right of the screen.
Its flame burns gold when the Seeker is far away and orange when the Seeker is guarding it. Hiders read it to pick their moment.
Every match adds to your record and unlocks kanga stripes, kitenge dots, a school uniform, a football kit, Beacon styles and name tags. Cosmetics never change the rules.
Single-player against AI Seekers and Hiders, no account needed, no ads, no purchases. Online play with friends is in development.

Kombolela is inspired by the hide-and-seek game played across East Africa: one child counts with closed eyes while the others hide, then tries to find them before they race back to base. It is built for people aged 14 and up who remember those evenings in the compound and cannot get the whole neighbourhood together any more.
The digital version keeps that spirit and adds explicit rules so every match plays the same way: a fixed Beacon that must be held for a moment to activate, a visible field of view with line of sight and bushes, a rescue rule, and scoring for both sides.
